Tai Chi and Tennis Balls: Haptic Techniques for Teaching Pronunciation – Report & Links

ATSEOL ACT members enjoyed some energetic insights into pronunciation teaching at our Term 3 professional learning/development event with Michael Burri from University of Wollongong.

We explored the sounds, stress patterns and intonation of English with practical exercises using gesture, touch and movement. This kinaesthetic pronunciation teaching method can help students develop fluency and sound differentiation skills using physical memory.
