Preparations for our second professional development event for August have just been finalised.

We are pleased to have Dr Lauren Sadow from ANU leading us in a 3-hour workshop on 
The Dictionary of Invisible Culture: Language to explain the confusing and complicated
on Saturday, 29 August 2020 from 2.00pm to 5.00pm, on Zoom

Lauren Sadow will present this practical, skills based workshop focusing on using common English words that translate clearly into other languages to paraphrase and to explain complex cultural concepts. It will explore common issues in breaking down concepts for learners at different levels and from different cultural perspectives.
You will have the opportunity to reflect on your understanding, to practise, and to share ideas. This workshop will provide you with language and skills you can use in your classroom to foster a greater understanding of Australian culture.
